Grandmaster Denny Shaffer Seminar

Master Shaffer traveled from South Carolina and taught a class for the Minden High school MMA program on Friday October 9th.

He followed up with a well attended seminar the next day at our dojo. The seminar was on Sen-I Jutsu. Our students had a wonderful time learning from one of the best instructors in the country.

Following the seminar, Master Shaffer presented Master Stanley with a black belt in Sen-I Jutsu.

Master Shaffer received a black belt from none other than Bruce Lee back in the 60s. He later earned a black belt from Isshinryu Grandmaster Harold Long. Master Long was one of the big four Marines who introduced Isshinryu Karate to the United States.

Master Shaffer is the chief instructor of the Shaffers Red Dragon dojo in Greenville, South Carolina and is a member of the Isshinryu Hall of Fame.
